This morning we paid a visit to Hill of Ward, where Halloween started.  It was the meeting place of 
Anoch, the great Celtic public assembly and festival which was held on Samhain, October 31st, All Souls Night.  There were signs of many people and the bonfire from the 31st. Next we visited hill of Tara which was one the residence of the High Kings of Ireland.  142 kings were said to have reigned here.  

After a vist to Leap Castle we arrived in Dublin.  Was so excited to eat lunch at John Kavanaugh's Gravediggers Pub.  Has always been on my list of places to go and was worth it. The food was great.  After lunch we visited Glasnevin Cemetery .  This cemetery was founded by Daniel O'Connell.  Glasnevin exceeded my expectations and I hope to go back.  Last stop was the Guinness Storehouse.    Tonight we had a fun Halloween evening of storytelling the Brazen Head Pub that dates back to 1198.  Unfortunately my camera battery was dead and I did not get photos at the Brazen Head.  Johnny was a very good storyteller.

Leap Castle is reputed to be one of the most haunted castles in Ireland.  No paranormal experience there but had a very interesting visit with owner, Sean Ryan.  Sean purchased the castle about 20 years ago when it was a total ruin and has been restoring it over the years.  He has done a wonderful job on this very large undertaking.

We have been so lucky with weather. Was a nice ride across the Shannon. Was ugly until we get to the Cliffs then got nice

Had a great day today! The weather was good when we needed it to be. Unfortunately I can't post pics of our day. Internet issue or a problem with Hugh the resident ghost!
